  This jacket has been my go-to for autumn and winter for several years now. Since it doesn't make the typical rustling sound of rainwear, it's perfect for photographing animals and wild birds that are sensitive to such noises. Its high waterproof performance means there's no need to worry about the inner layers getting wet, even in wet snow or sleet. Another reason I chose it is its strength; it doesn't easily tear even when rubbing against Swiss pines or rocks. The brushed lining combines with inner layers to create an air pocket, making it feel very warm.

  It's great that it's easy to layer depending on the outside temperature, and the hood is roomy enough to accommodate a helmet. The hand warmer pockets are also large, allowing you to store anything from goggles to spare gloves. There's also a mesh pocket on the inside for frozen goggles or your phone when it gets cold.

  With the strongest waterproofing, I was able to use it with peace of mind even in heavy snow, and when I arrived at the cabin and brushed off the snow, it wasn't wet at all. Above all, it was soft and didn't restrict my movement, and the brushed lining kept me warm and very comfortable. When I put on the hood, it covered my face nicely, creating just enough space in front of my eyes so it didn't obstruct my vision, which was very practical. This is a highly recommended item that you can rely on for a variety of activities, from photography to ski touring.
