Environmental Considerations

For over 80 years, MILLET has been innovating for its users, creating technical, high-performance products.
We are also fully aware of the impact of our business activities on resources and the environment, and have long been implementing programs to minimize our environmental footprint
and fulfill our social responsibilities. MILLET strives to improve and develop this program daily as a company, and
all staff members are actively involved in the entire process, from product concept to product care, research and development, development of environmentally friendly fabrics, and production.
To reconcile innovation and social responsibility, we prioritize low-impactTM certification, development of durable fabrics, and efficient reuse of end-of-life products.

We are also fully aware of the impact of our business activities on resources and the environment, and for many years we have been implementing programs to minimize our environmental footprint and fulfill our social responsibilities. MILLET is committed to continuously improving and developing this program throughout the company, with all staff actively involved in the entire process, from product concept to product care, research and development, the development of eco-friendly fabrics, and production.
To reconcile innovation and social responsibility, we prioritize the development of Low Impact™ certification and durable fabrics, as well as the efficient reuse of end-of-life products.

MILLET's Low Impact standard is a unique certification system applied to our products (apparel, footwear, backpacks, sleeping bags, etc.) that are highly durable and environmentally friendly.
This certification has two main criteria:
1. Use of materials with low environmental impact (natural materials, recycled materials, PFC-free materials, etc.)
2. Use of bluesign® certified materials
This internal certification system has been continuously refined for 10 years.
Season after season, MILLET strives to create more environmentally responsible products.

Eco-design & Durable Fabrics

ECO-DESIGN & SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

Bluesign is a highly stringent certification system globally, setting standards for product safety, reducing environmental impact and conserving resources during manufacturing, and ensuring a healthy environment for workers.
Millet has obtained this certification for about half of its products.
We are also investigating processing treatments to completely eliminate PFOA, a highly persistent fluorinated compound used in water-repellent finishes.
Going forward, we will continue to increase the proportion of products that do not use PFOA and products that are Bluesign certified.

Manufacturing & Responsible Factories

PRODUCTION & RESPONSIBLE FACTORIES

To reduce our environmental footprint, we are increasing the proportion of products manufactured in our own factories in Europe.
Furthermore, all companies involved in creating our products meet the environmental standards set by the MILLET Group, with over 70% achieving an excellent level.
This supply chain audit, which we conduct, is setting a new standard in the outdoor industry.

Management of Used Products

END-OF-LIFE OPTIMIZATION FOR OUR PRODUCTS

At MILLET, we not only extend the life of our products through repairs, but we also collect and recycle clothing that has been worn for many years and is beyond repair.
We also work with external partners on upcycling initiatives to transform these into new products.
